SITA Australia Pty Ltd ("SITA") is part of the worldwide SUEZ Environment group. SITA is committed to conducting its business in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and in accordance with the highest ethical standards.

SITA complies with the Commonwealth Privacy Act and all other state/territory legislative requirements in relation to the management of personal information. We believe that our clients can feel safe in the knowledge that we safeguard their personal information ensuring that confidentiality is respected and information is stored securely.

In order to provide you with the services that you have requested, we may need to collect and use your personal health information. If you provide incomplete or inaccurate information to us or withhold personal information from us we may not be able to provide you with the services you are seeking.

What information do we collect?
We collect information that enables us to meet your water and environmental needs. Often this may include collecting information for our customer database.

How do we use your information?
Our goal is to use the information you have provided to better understand your needs in order to assist us in improving our waste management services. Of course, we will only do this while maintaining confidentiality of all this information.

Information will only be disclosed to the relevant SITA personnel within the SUEZ Environment group involved in the delivery of water and wastewater services and support you have requested.

We will not disclose the personal information we hold about you to third parties outside the SUEZ Environment group unless you have consented to the disclosure, or the disclosure is required or authorised by law. We will not sell, rent or trade the personal information that you provide to us.

Where we outsource any of our services or hire contractors to perform services, we require our contractors to comply with the Commonwealth Privacy Act and our Privacy Policy.

With your consent we may also use your information for other purposes such as including you on our marketing mail list. You can provide your additional consent to this use of your information on the attached consent form.

Access to your information
You may request access to the personal information that we hold about you. You may also wish to amend your personal information should you believe that our records contain inaccurate information. Should you wish to access or amend the personal information we hold about you, please ask for our Privacy Officer who can provide you with more detailed information about how to request access to or correction of your personal information.

If you have a complaint about privacy issues
If you have a complaint about our information handling practices or feel that the privacy of your personal information has been interfered with you may lodge a complaint with our Privacy Officer or directly with the Commonwealth Privacy Commissioner.

Our Privacy Officer is happy to discuss any complaint you may have about the management of your personal information or to answer any questions you have about our information management practices and our Privacy Policy. All complaints will be dealt with fairly and as quickly as possible.

Changes to our privacy policy
We may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time for any reason. We will publish those changes on our website.

We recommend that you review this policy whenever you visit our website in order to obtain the most current statement of our Privacy Policy.
